It is no secret that Classic Legends, owned by Mahindra & Mahindra, is all set to revive the iconic Yezdi brand. The company has already re-introduced the Jawa Motorcycles in India. Not just Yezdi, Classic Legends will also re-launch the BSA motorcycles in Europe. First Yezdi motorcycle has already been spotted testing.

The new Yezdi motorcycle is most likely to be a retro-classic motorcycle. The new bike is rumoured to be called the Yezdi Roadking, as the name has already been trademarked in India. The new motorcycle is expected to be based on the Jawa platform, which is the modified version of the Mahindra Mojo’s platform. However, the motorcycle will have unique styling and different features.

The new Yezdi Roadking is most likely to have roadster like styling with retro-styled circular headlamps. Based on the spyshots, a digital artist has released a digital rendering of the new Yezdi Roadking. The styling elements on the cylinder head and crankcase looks similar to the original yezdi.

The rendering has almond shaped fuel tank, and triangular side panels, blackened scheme for the engine and exhaust system and spoke wheels, and cantilevered seats. It is expected that the first Yezdi could be launched during festive season, around Diwali. The new motorcycle will get dual-channel ABS system as standard. It will also feature a digital instrument console.

The new Yezdi Roadking bike is expected to feature the same 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that powers the Jawa. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this engine produces 26.51bhp of power and 27Nm of torque. The Jawa Perak comes with a more powerful 30bhp, 344cc engine, which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
