TVS Motorcycle Company has rolled out the Jupiter Classic special edition at Rs 85,866 (ex-showroom). The new model commemorates the scooter’s fastest five million sales milestone. It receives a few cosmetic enhancements over the regular model along with some extra features and new colours. The new TVS Jupiter Classic has been offered in two colour schemes – Regal Purple and Mystic Grey. No changes have been made to its engine, suspension and braking system.
You can notice the black elements on the mirror, visor and fenders. The scooter features a 3D black logo at the front. It also gets diamond cut alloy wheels, handlebar ends and leatherette seat upholstery with back rest and dark brown inner panels. It has a new speedometer dial and USB charger. The safety kit includes all-in-one locking system, disc brakes and engine kill switch.
As mentioned above, the new TVS Jupiter Classic comes with the same 110cc, single-cylinder engine making 7.8bhp at 7500rpm and 8.8Nm at 5500rpm. It offers two riding modes – Eco and Power. Its braking system consists of disc brakes at the front and rear. Suspension duties are done by the telescopic fork upfront and gas charged shock absorbers with 3 step adjustment at the rear. The Chennai-based two-wheeler has also increased prices of the Jupiter model lineup by up to 8.26 percent. Now, the lower variants – SMW, STD, ZX and ZX Disc – are available at Rs 69,571, Rs 72,571, 76,846 and 80,646 respectively. While the Jupiter SmartXonnect costs Rs 83,646, the Jupiter 125 Drum, 125 Alloy and 125 Disc variants are priced at Rs 81,725, 83,825 and 88,075 respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
Recently, TVS introduced the NTorq Race Edition in a new Marine Blue colour along with the updated TVS Apache 160 and Apache 180. The company has started testing its new electric scooter that’s reported to be based on the Creon concept that broke cover at the 2018 Auto Expo.
