New Toyota Fortuner facelift Unveil on June 4, 2020

Toyota is reportedly to launch the new Fortuner facelift and the Hilux pick-up facelift in Thailand on June 4, 2020

We informed you earlier that Toyota will introduce the Fortuner facelift in the country before the end of this year. According to media reports, the new Toyota Fortuner facelift will be introduced in Thailand on June 4, 2020. Adding to it, the company will also present the thoroughly updated Hilux pick-up truck on June 4. However, Toyota is yet to make an official announcement on the same.

Toyota Fortuner Facelift 1

The 2020 Toyota Fortuner facelift will receive cosmetic design changes, which is quite evident from the spy images available on the Internet. Similar changes will be made to the front design of the Hilux. The new model will have new front grille, which will share the styling from Toyota’s new breed of SUVs including the RAV4. It will also receive newly designed headlamps with LED DRLs, new front bumper and newly designed alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the Toyota Fortuner facelift will receive the much-needed new touchscreen infotainment system. This system will be compliant with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Adding to it, the new model for Thai market will receive Toyota Safety Sense safety package with features like adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.

The Toyota Hilux facelift (Australia spec) is reportedly to feature the 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which will be updated to deliver higher power and torque. It is likely to produce around 204bhp of power and 470Nm of torque, which is a significant increase of 27bhp and 20Nm respectively. Transmission duties will be carried out by the existing 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV could also receive a new 3.0L V6 turbodiesel engine with power around 270bhp.

Toyota Fortuner 2020 launch

The Toyota Fortuner facelift for the Indian market is likely to receive the BSVI compliant 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engines. The diesel engine offers two states of tunes – 174bhp/420 Nm with 6-speed MT and 174bhp/450 Nm with 6-speed AT.

The Fortuner facelift will continue to feature the LED DRLs, powered tailgate with memory function, 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, keyless entry and go, automatic climate control, leather upholstery, etc. For safety and security, the new Toyota Fortuner facelift will continue to offer 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse camera, hill-hold assist, hill descent control, stability control, cruise control, etc.
