New Tata Safari Waiting Period Details; Top Variants In Demand

Launched in mid February 2021, the new Tata Safari 6/7-seater SUV has been doing really well for the carmaker. Last month, the company dispatched 1,707 units of the SUV to its dealers across the country. The higher trim XZA+ with Orcus White and Royal Blue paint schemes is the most preferred choice among buyers.

The Safari Adventure Persona Edition has also been attracting a good chuck of buyers. While the XZA+ variant comes with a price tag of Rs 21.25 lakh, the Adventure Persona XZ+ manual and automatic variants cost Rs 20.20 and Rs 21.45 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. Currently, the new Safari commands a waiting period of up to 45 days (which is around 1 and an half month).

In terms of features, the new Tata Safari XZA+ variant offers a panoramic sunroof, a 9-speaker JBL audio system with amplifier, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, part-digital instrument cluster with 7.0-inch TFT display, terrain response modes, middle row captain seats, oyster white leatherette upholstery, hill decent control, 6 airbags, electronic parking brake with auto hold, 6-way electric adjust driver seat, auto dimming rear view mirror, Isofix child seat anchors, Xenon HID projector headlamps, fog lamps with cornering function and 18-inch machined alloy wheels.

The Safari Adventure Persona Edition comes with some exclusive features including piano black finishing on grille, door handles and roof rails, Safari badge on bonnet, charcoal grey skid plates, 18-inch charcoal grey machined alloy wheels and earthy brown leatherette upholstery. The SUV offers generous cabin space with decent legroom for the second and third row occupants.

New Tata Safari Price List

The new Tata Safari is available with a single engine option. The SUV derives its power form a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine that’s good enough for 170bhp and 350Nm. The same powertrain does duty in the Harrier 5-seater SUV. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across the model lineup, while select variants get an option a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The SUV misses out on 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system.
