New Tata Safari Electric Rendered; Inspired By Nexon EV

We have reported earlier that Tata Motors is planning to electrify its entire product portfolio in the future. As of now, the Tata Nexon EV is only electric offering from the home-grown carmaker. The electric subcompact SUV has been doing really well for the company. In fact, it was India’s best-selling EV in 2020. Tata has planned Altroz EV, HBX electric mini SUV and Safari electric for the Indian market. However, their official launch timeline is yet to be revealed by the carmaker.

A latest digital rendering previews a possible design of the upcoming Tata Safari electric SUV. Similar to the Nexon EV, the rendered Safari features a new upright grille with a black bar in the centre. You can notice it has a charging port placed on the grille and newly-designed alloy wheels. The tri-arrow pattern on the lower section of the bumper with blue highlights further mark distinction to its looks. Design bits such as headlamps, LED DRLs and fog lamps assembly are carried forward from the standard model. The electric iteration has been painted in dual-tone Electric Blue and White shades.

Its battery pack can be charged up to 80% in an hour via DC fast charger and 100% in 8 to 9 hours via a standard 15A AC charger. The battery capacity and power figures of the Safari electric could be different.
