New Tata Safari 4X4 SUV Digitally Imagined; Looks Rugged

The new Tata Safari SUV, based on the Gravitas concept, is ready to make its debut on 26th January 2021 (Republic Day). Ahead of its official unveiling, the carmaker has dropped a couple of teasers revealing its front design and the rear quarter window. The SUV’s production-ready model will look slightly different the Gravitas featuring a new front grille. The new Safari will be based on the Harrier’s Omega architecture that’s derived from Land Rover’s D8 platform.

While the Omega platform is compatible to AWD (all-wheel-drive) system, the 2021 Tata Safari will initially be offered with FWD (front-wheel-drive) system. The SUV’s 4X4 version might be introduced at a later stage. Prior to its arrival, however, a digital rendering gives us a preview of the 4X4 Tata Safari that looks like a rugged off-roader. The rendered model features a blacked out grille, a rugged scuff plate and blacked out door handles.
