New Tata Nexon XZ+ (S) Variant Launched; Gets Sunroof

In January 2020, Tata Motors introduced facelifts of its three popular models – Tigao, Tigor and Nexon. The 2020 Tata Nexon witnessed visual and feature upgrades along with the BS6-compliant engines. Priced at Rs 6.98 lakh (ex-showroom), the subcompact SUV lineup comes in 8 variants – XE, XM, XZ, XZ+, XZ+ (O), XMA, XZA+ and XZA+ (O). Now, the carmaker added a new XZ+ (S) variant to the compact SUV model lineup.

Based on the range-topping XZ+ (O) trim, the Nexon’s new XZ+ (S) variant has been made available with both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol model is priced at Rs 10.10 lakh, the diesel version costs Rs 11.60 lakh. The new variant has been positioned between the XZ+ and XZ+ (O) trims.

Tata Nexon facelift

Save for the iRA connected technology, the 2020 Tata Nexon XZ+ (S) variant comes with all comfort and safety features offered on the XZ+ (O) trim. At present, the iRA connected app is available only on the XZ+ (O), XZA+ (O) variants. The connected car app enables users to interact with the vehicle. The new XZ+ (S) variant offers automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped gearshift knob, tyre pressure monitoring system and cruise control. Speaking of the engines, the 2020 Tata Nexon comes with a 1.2L turbocharged petrol and a 1.5L diesel motor. While the gasoline makes a top power of 118bhp with 113Nm of torque, the oil burner delivers 108bhp with 260Nm of torque. Both manual and AMT gearboxes are offer. The BS6-complaint petrol engine is 10bhp more powerful than its BS4 version.
