New Suzuki Ertiga GT – Top Changes and Other Details

Suzuki Ertiga GT comes with a sporty body kit with black and red treatment.

It is no secret that Maruti Suzuki is working on a sportier version of the Ertiga MPV for the Indian market. Likely to be called Maruti Ertiga Cross or Ertiga Sport, this model will be sold through NEXA premium dealership. Japanese automaker, Suzuki will soon introduce the new Ertiga GT variant in the Indonesian market. While the exact launch timeline is yet to be revealed, the clear images have been leaked on the web world.

Top Changes

In terms of styling tweaks, the new Suzuki Ertiga GT comes with new front underbody mounted bumper spoiler in red, new honeycomb upper raidator and lower radiator grille, more prominent bumper and side skirts. The new model comes equipped with a new roof-mounted spoiler and an underbody mounted rear bumper spoiler. Blackened treatment can be seen on the rear bumper. The sportier model gets contrasting red treatment and prominent GT badge on the rear tailgate.

The cabin pictures are yet to be out, but it is unlikely to receive major upgrades. It is expected that the new model will get new upholstery for seats and red highlights on the dashboard and door panels. Most of the features will be carried over from the regular variant.

No changes under the hood

The new Suzuki Ertiga GT variant will be powered by the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder petrol engine that also powers the India-spec Ertiga and Ciaz. This engine is capable of producing 103bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit.

India will get six-seater model

It is early to comment on the launch of the Ertiga GT in India. Instead, Maruti Suzuki will launch the six-seater Sport version of the new MPV for the Indian market. This variant will come with captain seats for second and third row of seats. The India-spec model will also receive a newly developed 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 94bhp and 225Nm of torque.
