2020 Skoda Superb receives updated styling, new features and a new plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Skoda Auto recently revealed the new Skoda Superb facelift with updated styling, new features and a new plug-in hybrid powertrain. Now, the company has confirmed that the sedan’s updated model will hit Indian roads by mid 2020. Besides this, the Czech carmaker will also launch the Karoq and Kamiq SUVs in the country. While the former will come in the first quarter of 2020, the latter will arrive in late 2020.

The 2020 Skoda Superb receives major cosmetic upgrades including new grille, optional new LED Matrix headlamps, revised front bumper, newly-designed alloy wheels and rear LED lamps with a chrome strip. Inside, the luxury saloon features new leather and Alcantara seats with contrasting stitching, optional virtual coclpit with three different infotainment systems and new driver assistance features such as predictive cruise control.

Globally, the 2020 Skoda Superb facelift will be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It has a 1.4L TSI petrol engine paired to a 112bhp electric motor delivering a combined power of 217bhp with 400Nm of torque. However, there is no clarity whether the plug-in hybrid variant will come to India or not. The saloon’s updated version will also be available with a new 188bhp, 2.0L TSI engine along with the existing powertrains.
