New Santro Sets Monthly Sales Record For Hyundai India
In October 2018, Hyundai India registered its highest ever domestic sales of 52,001 units.
The new Hyundai Santro 2018 hatchback is turning out to be an instant hit for the South Korean carmaker in India. The company has confirmed that it has received 28,800 bookings (highest for any hatchback) and over 1,29,500 enquires for the new Santro in just 22 days. While the official bookings for the hatchback were commenced on 10th October, the launch took place on 23rd of the same month.
In October 2018, the South Korean carmaker also registered its highest ever domestic sales of 52,001 units and cumulative sales of 65,200 units. The domestic sales of the company grew by 4.9% as opposed to the same month last year. The credit for this tremendous growth goes to the all-new Hyundai Santro. At the launch of the new Santro, Hyundai confirmed that the hatchback already commands a waiting period of 4 months. The company plans to produce 10,000 units per month, and the constantly increasing demand will further pile up orders. The export of the new Hyundai Santro will be commenced early next year.
