Upcoming Hyundai Santro Interiors Revealed; Launch Likely In August

Likely to be launched in August 2018, the new upcoming Hyundai Santro will rival the likes of Maruti Celerio, Renault Kwid 1.0 and Tata Tiago

South Korean automaker, Hyundai will launch an all-new entry-level hatchback – codenamed AH2 – in the Indian car market. Likely to be called the new Santro, the hatchback is reportedly to be launched in August 2018. The car has been spotted several times, but this is the first time that the cabin pictures of the hatch have been revealed through spy images. The spotted model seems the top-end model, equipped with several high-end comfort and convenience features.

Hyundai Santro Interior Revealed

Going by the pictures, it is visible that the hatchback shares most of the features with the Grand i10. The hatchback gets three-spoke steering wheel with buttons for infotainment system and the Bluetooth telephony. The hatchback gets dual-tone black and beige scheme for the dashboard. The central console features round air-conditioning vents and a touch-panel infotainment system. The seats come equipped with fixed headrests, even in the top-end models. The instrument console has a 3-pot layout, while the doors have decent space to accommodate small bottles. Similar to other Hyundai cars, the hatchback is also expected to be equipped with several comfort and convenience features.

Based on the i10 platform, the upcoming Hyundai Santro retains the tall-boy design. The new model will come as a replacement for the i10 hatchback. The small car design seems heavily inspired from the Grand i10. To be slotted below the Grand i10, the hatchback will challenge the likes of Maruti Celerio, Tata Tiago and Renault Kwid 1.0. The new Hyundai Santro, codenamed AH2 is likely to be powered by the 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 68bhp and a peak torque of 100Nm. The Santro hatchback will be the brand’s first car to feature AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox.
