New Renault Grand Duster 7-Seater Could Look Like This

We reported earlier that the next generation Renault Duster could be inspired by the Dacia’s new Bigster concept. The company is working on the next-gen Duster, which is expected to be introduced by 2022-23. It will be based on the Renault-Nissan alliance’s CMF-B platform, which will also underpin the next-gen Nissan Kicks. What’s interesting is that the Dacia Bigster is also designed and developed on the Renault-Nissan-Alliance’s CMF-B platform.

Digital Artist, Kleber Silva has released a new rendering which is based on the Bigster concept. The artist claims that the new rendering previews the next generation Grand Duster, which will be a 7-seater SUV. The rendering looks largely identical to the Bigster, except for the new front fascia. The front has the signature Renault grille with 3 horizontal chrome slats, flanked by uniquely designed Y-shaped LED headlamps.

The render has completely different lower bumper with less rugged look and looks inspired by Renault SUVs like Koleos, while the Bigster has Chunky bumper. The SUV gets LED lighting system, pronounced wheel arches, a flat roof line and muscular haunches. It comes equipped with a slim front grille, Y-shaped LED tail-lamps and large 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Renault will launch the third generation Duster SUV in India by 2023. The new model is likely to be offered in 5-and 7-seat options. While the 5-seater Duster will rival the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, the 7-seater model will be positioned against the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV500 and the 7-seater Creta.

In India, Renault will soon launch the all-new Kiger sub-4 meter SUV. Based on the CMF-A modular platform, the new model will rival the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Tata Nexon. The Kiger will be offered with a 1.0-litre petrol engine in naturally-aspirated and turbocharged versions. The French automaker is also reportedly working on a sub-4 meter sedan based on this platform.
