Here’re 6 major changes that have been made to the 2019 Renault Duster.

The Duster has been on sale in the Indian market for a long time, and required an update to regain its lost market position. Therefore, the French carmaker recently introduced the 2019 model year of the SUV with minor cosmetic changes and feature upgrade. Engine setup, however, remains unchanged. Here’re 6 major changes that have been made to the 2019 Renault Duster facelift.

1. Cheaper Than Before

Compared to the previous model, the 2019 Renault Duster facelift is more affordable (higher trims). The petrol variants range from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh, while the diesel trims have been priced from Rs 9.29 lakh to Rs 12.49 lakh (all, ex-showroom). The fully-loaded RXS (O) 110PS diesel AWD variant is now over Rs 50,000 cheaper than before.

2. New Body Colours

3. Updated Infotainment System

The 2019 Renault Duster facelift gets an updated 17.46 cm touchscreen MediaNav Evolution that features Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice recognition and EcoGuide. This system provides guidelines to improve efficiency by monitoring driving patterns.

The SUV’s facelifted version has more features to offer including an Arkamys with 4 speakers and 2 front tweeters, a fully automatic climate control, newly-styled steering wheel with soft touch buttons, dual-tone centre fascia with soft touch dashboard and door trims, instrument cluster with ice blue graphic and redesigned illuminated and cooled glovebox.

5. BNCAP Compliant

The 2019 Renault Duster facelift meets BNCAP (Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program) crash test norms. Besides this, it also complaints with new safety norms by offering dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert, seat belt reminder and rear parking sensors as standard features. 6. Improved Styling

The facelifted model retains most of the design bits from the old model. Though, it gets new tri-winged full chrome grille, new signature projector headlamps with LED DRLs, muscular skid plates, and new dual-tone front bumper. It also gets newly-designed R16 Everest diamond but alloys along with slightly higher ground clearance. Other changes include body coloured ORVMs, Kayak roof rails, waterfall LED taillamps and matte black tailgate embellisher.
