New Nissan Kicks Petrol To Be More Powerful Than Creta, Seltos, Hector

2020 Nissan Kicks BS6

Nissan India will soon bring in the BS6-compliant version of the Kicks SUV. Bookings and price announcement are likely to happen after the lockdown. Interestingly, the 2020 Nissan Kicks will be made available with a new 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine that will also power the updated Renault Duster AMT. The latter one made its public debut at this year’s Auto Expo.

The Kicks’ new petrol engine will deliver a claimed power of 156PS and 254Nm of torque, thus making it more powerful than the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and MG Hector. The 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.4L turbo-petrol engines of the new Creta and Seltos return a claimed power of 115PS and 140Nm of torque. The MG Hector, an upper segment car, promises a maximum power of 143PS with 250Nm with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine.
