The new-generation Swift was officially launched in India in early 2018. The fourth-generation Swift is currently one of the best-selling cars in the Indian market. Not just India, this compact hatchback is equally popular in international markets as well. The all-new Swift is already a sporty model in terms of styling. This model has been modified with new aggressive elements. It comes with a new hood scoop in contrasting black colour along with new body kit. The body kit comprises of a new front bumper spoiler, side skirts and a rear bumper spoiler. Protective plastic cladding on the wheel arches are also on offer. All the added parts are wrapped in black shade, which adds to its sporty character. The rear bumper gets more prominent inserts along with an integrated quad exhaust tips. The vehicle also gets red highlights around the body to add some premium touch. The red highlights can be seen on the grille, bumper, outside rear view mirrors, cladding, side skirts and on C-pillar. This modified Swift comes with dual-tone paint job, featuring all-black roof. It also gets aftermarket alloy wheels and wider tyres. It is yet to be confirmed whether modifier has made any changes to the engine specs. In our market, the new Swift is available with two engine options – 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre MJD diesel. While the former is good for 82bhp and 113Nm, the oil burner produces 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. Maruti is also considering launching the most powerful Swift Sport model in India, which is powered by a 140bhp, 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine.
