The company is also working on multiple new products including the new-gen Vitara Brezza, new Swift, new Alto, a mid-sized SUV in collaboration with Toyota and a Baleno-based crossover. The new Maruti Vitara Brezza will be launched in the second half of 2021, before Diwali.

– The new-generation Maruti Vitara Brezza is reportedly to be launched in the third quarter of 2021, which is around July-September. The SUV will be introduced during festive season, before Diwali.

– The HEARTECT platform will allow Maruti Suzuki India Limited to add more modern electric and electronic architecture. The SUV will be benefitted with more modern features such as connected car tech.

– The new Brezza will retain the existing 1.5-litre K15B, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine; however, it will be supported by a stronger mild-hybrid system. MSIL is expected to add larger battery and a more powerful electric motor to achieve higher fuel efficiency. This will also help MSIL to make new Brezza compliant with upcoming CAFE norms.

– The 1.5L engine is capable of producing 104bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard. The SUV will also receive a 6-speed automatic gearbox, which will replace the existing 4-speed unit.

– The new Maruti Vitara Brezza could also be offered with the BS6-compliant 1.5L diesel engine and the factory-fitted CNG kit. However, these models are likely to arrive at a later stage.

– The new Brezza will be equipped with several high-end features, which are missing in the current car. It will receive a factory-fitted sunroof. Adding to it, the SUV will get a wireless charger, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, 6 airbags and a digital instrument console.

– The SUV will be positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and others in its category.
