Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce the new Ertiga facelift in the Indian market today. The new model will come with cosmetic design changes and updated interior along with new engine-gearbox combination. MSIL has already started accepting pre-bookings for the new Maruti Ertiga at a token amount of Rs 11,000.
New Maruti Ertiga Facelift Price Expectations
The outgoing model is available in the price bracket of Rs 8.11 lakh to Rs 10.84 lakh. The new model will come with several high-end features that are missing in the outgoing model. With new features, the Ertiga facelift is likely to receive a marginal price hike. We expect the new model to cost somewhere between Rs 8.30 lakh to Rs 11.5 lakh.
New Maruti Ertiga – New Engine
The 2022 Maruti Ertiga will come with a new 1.5-litre K15C dualjet petrol engine, which will also power the new Brezza and the XL6 facelift. It is expected to produce around 115bhp, thus making the new Ertiga 10bhp more powerful than the previous model. The CNG version will also get the same powertrain with lower power and torque output.
6-speed automatic gearbox
A 5-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard. Instead of a 4-speed automatic, the new engine will be paired to a new 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The new model will also receive paddle shifters. The CNG version will only be offered in manual avatar.
Minimal Design & Interior Changes
Maruti has not make significant design changes to the Ertiga. It retains the overall shape; however, it gets some cosmetic changes. The MPV will come with a new front grille, revised bumpers and updated lighting system. The cabin is likely to get new upholstery and added features. The MPV will also get an upgraded 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system and Suzuki Connect telematics.
