New Maruti Ciaz Outsells Honda City & Hyundai Verna By Huge Margin

New Maruti Ciaz 2018 Sales

The sedan registered sales over 24,000 units during April – September, 2018.

The new Maruti Ciaz facelift entered the market in the second last week of August, 2018. Packed with a new, more frugal petrol engine and features, the updated version of the mid-size sedan has managed to garner over 10,000 bookings so far. In September 2018, Maruti Suzuki sold 6,246 units of the new Ciaz which is around 3,682 units and 2,745 units higher than the Honda City and Hyundai Verna respectively.

Furthermore, the Maruti Ciaz (pre-facelift and facelift models) becomes India’s top-selling C-segment sedan outsold in the first half of fiscal year 2018-19. The sedan registered sales over 24,000 units (accounting 28.76% growth) during April – September, 2018. Maruti Suzuki said that the Ciaz’s Nexa Blue colour model has over 25.5% contribution in the total sales of the sedan in FY2018-19. The sedan has maintained an average monthly sales of over 4,000 units from the last six months. The new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift comes in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha – packed with both petrol and diesel powertrains. Prices of the petrol models range between Rs 8.19 lakh (Sigma) – Rs 10.97 (Alpha SHVS) and the diesel variants are priced from Rs 9.19 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh.
