In August 2018, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has outsold its arch rivals – Hyundai Verna and Honda City.

Maruti Suzuki India recently introduced the mid-life facelift of the Ciaz sedan. In August 2018, the Ciaz has outsold its arch rivals – Hyundai Verna and Honda City – and becomes the top-selling mid-size sedan in the country. While the Maruti Ciaz registered total sales of 7,002 units, the Verna and City recorded sales of 3,361 units and 2,790 units respectively.

The new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift is available in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha – priced between Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh. Prices of the petrol models start from Rs 8.19 lakh and go up to Rs 10.97 lakh. The diesel models, on the other hand, cost between Rs 9.19 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh. For 2018 model year, the sedan receives a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder K15B petrol engine with SHVS mild hybrid technology. This motor delivers 103bhp with 138Nm of torque. The conventional 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the carline, while the Delta, Zeta and Alpha petrol trims are exclusively offered with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Mileage figures of the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 petrol model stand at 21.56kmpl (MT) and 20.28kmpl (AT), thus making it the most fuel economical sedan of the country. Read – Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Cars In India

On the outside, the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift gets revised LED headlamps with LED DRLs, new radiator grille, new alloys and new LED rear combination lamps. Interior of the new model looks up-market, thanks to its lighter faux word trim, adjustable rear headrests, new instrument cluster with colour MID and cruise control. The sedan also gets seatbelt reminder and speed alert system as standard safety features.
