India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki will launch the much-awaited Swift facelift in the Indian car market next month. It is speculated to go on sale on November 3rd; however, nothing has been confirmed on the same. The new model will compete against the likes of Datsun Go and Hyundai Eon 1.0. It is equipped with new additional features and gets several changes to both exteriors and interiors.
The bookings for the new Maruti Alto K10 have already commenced at a token amount of Rs. 10,000, while deliveries are expected to commence in the 1-2 week of November. This time around, the new K10 is heavily based on the Alto 800. The new front fascia gets new headlamps, slightly tweaked grille, new bumper and air dam. It will be offered in total of six variants, with two transmissions, in two fuel options.
Under the hood is the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder K-Series motor that also powers the current generation K10 and Wagon R. The same engine develops 67.04bhp and 90Nm of peak torque. The vehicle also sees an improvement in fuel efficiency, which is now rated at 24.07kmpl. There is a CNG fuel option on offer as well, which returns 32.26km/kg of mileage. The engine is paired to either five-speed manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT).
