Maruti Suzuki introduced the third-generation Alto K10 in India in August 2022. The entry-level hatchback has been offered in total of 6 variants spread across four trims – Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+. Its prices start at Rs 3.99 lakh and go up to Rs 5.84 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Now, the company is offering a year end discount on the new Maruti Alto K10 of up to Rs 50,000. The Alto K10 LXi MT, VXi MT and VXi MT are available with cash discount of Rs 30,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively. There is an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and corporate offers of Rs 5,000. The AMT-equipped variants can be had with exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and corporate benefits of Rs 5,000. No cash discounts are offered on the new Alto K10 AMT models. The Maruti Alto 800 is available with total benefits of Rs 34,000 including cash discount of up to Rs 15,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and corporate discount of Rs 4000.
Based on the Heartech platform, the new Maruti Alto K10 derives its power from a 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10C petrol engine. The motor, with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox, delivers a claimed power of 67bhp and 89Nm of torque. It’s benefited with Dualjet technology and idle start/stop system.
The same engine-gearbox combination is available in the Celerio hatchback and S-Presso. Maurti Suzuki says that the new Alto K10 offers a fuel efficiency of 24.39kmpl with the manual gearbox and 24.90kmpl with the AMT transmission. The new Maruti Alto K10 is also available with the CNG fuel option. The Alto 800 is powered by the tried and tested 800cc petrol engine delivering power worth 48bhp.
