New Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Debut, Launch Details

A spy image of Mahindra’s compact SUV has been doing rounds on the internet. Initially, it was identified as a new micro SUV, but the camouflaged prototype is the heavily updated XUV300 subcompact SUV. It will be the first significant update for the model in terms of design and features. While there is no official word on its launch timeline, the new Mahindra XUV300 facelift is expected to debut towards the end of 2023. Its market launch might take place in 2024.

The SUV is likely to come with completely revised front and rear profile. Upfront, it might get a newly-designed split grille and bumper along with the slightly tweaked bonnet. The headlamps and taillamps appear to be dummy units. The updated version might derive some of its design elements from the XUV700 such as the LED headlights and C-shaped DRLs.

At the back, the new Mahindra XUV300 facelift will feature updated taillamps connected via a bar running across width of the car, bumper integrated license plate and redesigned boot lid. No changes are expected to be made to its dimensions. Similar to the pre-facelift version, it will be 3995mm long, 1821mm wide and 1627mm tall. Read – Mahindra XUV700 Electric SUV Testing Begins

Interior details of the facelifted XUV300 are not available. Though, it’s expected to receive noticeable feature upgrades such as a digital driver console, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Mahindra’s latest Adrenox UI with OTA updates, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats and a 360 degree camera. Rest of its features will be carried forward from the current model.

Things under the hood are likely to remain unchanged. The new Mahindra XUV300 facelift will continue to come with the 1.2L turbo petrol (110PS/200Nm), 1.2L DI turbo petrol (130PS/250Nm) and 1.5L diesel (117PS/300Nm) engine options. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the model lineup and an AMT unit will be available with the turbo petrol and diesel engines.
