New Nissan Leaf 2018 Revealed

The new Leaf features Nissan Intelligent Mobility with ProPILOT semi-autonomous driving technology.

The Japanese carmaker, Nissan has finally revealed the all-new Leaf electric car at an event in Japan. Interestingly, the Leaf is the company’s first on-road embodiment of Nissan Intelligent Mobility with ProPILOT semi-autonomous driving technology, parking capabilities and advanced all-electric powertrain. Besides this, the electric car features comprehensive cosmetic upgrades with a more aerodynamic design.

The new Leaf will see a release in the US, Europe and Canada early next year, while the Japan will be the first market to receive the car on October 2, 2017. The new Leaf comes boosted with a 40kWh battery that is claimed to deliver 150 miles of range under EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) testing and 400km under the Japanese rating agency. That mean, the hatchback’s new model is significantly more efficient than its predecessor that offers 107-mile range with 30kWh battery. New Nissan Leaf 2018 interior

Nissan’s chief performance officer, Jose Munoz, said the company sought to upgrade the Leaf for 2018 in four key ways, “beginning with a starting MSRP under $30,000. That’s a lower price than the Leaf in market today and it includes more power, range and technology, all wrapped in a beautiful new exterior and interior design.” Check Out – The Modified Nissan Terrano – ‘The Bull’

Design of the new Leaf is more dynamic and aerodynamic than before. Some of the key highlights include flash-surface grille, V-motion flow in the front, boomerang-shaped headlamps and rear bumper with blue molding. Inside, the car gets a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay compatibility and a new layout.
