Kevin Stride, Vehicle Line Director, Jaguar XE said, “Jaguar’s position as the leading premium manufacturer of aluminium vehicles allowed us to develop a light, stiff body structure that is ground-breaking in its class. It enables the XE’s advanced chassis technologies to deliver an unprecedented balance of agility and levels of refinement previously found only in vehicles from the segments above.”

The Jaguar XE is the first model developed from JLR’s new modular vehicle architecture, which will be seen in the future Jaguar’s. The S model features large front air intakes, chrome side vents, and discreet rear spoiler and optional 20-inch forged alloy wheels. The XE S will be joined by other models powered by highly fuel efficient 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, mated to either six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. The diesel motor is claimed to be highly fuel efficient with mileage rated at 25kmpl (75mpg).

The new Jaguar XE saloon is based on the new modular architecture. This model features short front overhang, longer rear overhand and dynamic, and cab-rearward stance. The vehicle gets lower and sporty driving position and displays a sleek, coupe-like profile.

Jaguar claims that the XE sedan interiors complemented the stylish exterior looks. The spacious cabin cocoons front seat passengers with a deep centre console which creates a cockpit-like feel. The F-TYPE-style dials and the cluster needle sweep on start-up further emphasise the XE’s sports saloon attributes.
