New Innova To Compact SUV – 4 New Toyota Cars Launching In India

Toyota will use Maruti’s expertise to enter into volume segments including compact SUV & hatchback.

Japanese automaker, Toyota has recently joined hands with Suzuki to develop new cars, technologies and platform for Indian market. Adding to it, both will develop affordable electric cars for India and global markets. Instead of making huge investments, Toyota will use Maruti’s expertise to enter into volume segments including compact SUV & hatchback. Here we bring you 4 new Toyota Cars coming to India in the next 1-2 years –

Toyota Baleno Hatchback

Toyota will launch a premium hatchback based on the Baleno hatchback in 2019. It will be the first Toyota-badged Maruti product for Indian market. The company will make some changes to design and interior to give it a family look. Mechanically, it will remain the same. It will be powered by the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine. The company could opt for a new 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is currently under development.

Launch – Early 2019

Toyota Vitara Brezza

The company will launch the Vitara Brezza based sub-4 meter SUV in India in the second half of 2019. Similar to the Baleno, the new SUV will receive some changes in the form of grille, headlights and bumpers. The cabin is not likely to see major changes, except for new upholstery and features. It is expected to be powered by a new 1.5-litre petrol engine that was debuted in the Ciaz facelift.

Launch – H2, 2019

Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift

We informed you earlier that Toyota will launch the Innova Crysta facelift in Indonesia in 2019. The MPV will also receive a mid-life facelift in India. The new model will receive subtle design changes and new features inside the cabin. Big change will be made under the hood. The new Crysta will receive BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines.

Launch – Late 2019 or early 2020

Toyota Fortuner Facelift

Similar to the Crysta, Toyota’s flagship SUV – Fortuner in India will also receive a mid-life facelift in India. The SUV will receive some design changes and better equipped cabin. It will be powered by a BS6 compliant 2.8-litre diesel engine, which is likely to be more fuel efficient.

Launch – Late 2019 or early 2020
