New Hyundai Creta Gets Over 30,000 Bookings, 55% For Diesel Models

Hyundai Motor India today announced that the second-generation Creta has received over 30,000 bookings since its launch in March, 2020. The carmaker has also revealed that it’s the most enquired and searched car on Hyundai ‘Click to Buy’ platform and gets over 258 million media impressions and over 19.5 million TVC views so far. In fact, the SUV managed to top sales charts in May, 2020. The new Creta diesel is emerging as the most popular model that gathered 55% percent of the total bookings.  

Featuring Hyundai’s Global Design language, the new Creta comes with three BS6-compliant engine options. All powertrains have been borrowed from the Kia Seltos. The lineup includes a 115hp, 1.5L, naturally-aspirated petrol motor that comes with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox; a 115hp, 1.5L turbocharged diesel mill that can be had either with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox; and a 1.4L turbo-petrol unit paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.  Interestingly, the mileage figures of the new Creta are slightly higher than the Kia Seltos.

Significant changes have been to its exterior. The new Creta’s top-end SX (O) trim comes equipped with LED headlights and tail-lights, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a large panoramic sunroof, a Bose audio system with 8 speakers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, auto healthy air purifier with digital display, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, electronic parking brake and leather ventilated front seats. The carmaker offers new Creta in 10 colour options – Galaxy Blue Metallic, Typhoon Silver, Red Mulberry, Phantom Black, Lava Orange Dual Tone, Polar White Dual Tone, Deep Forest, Lava Orange, Polar White and Titan Gray Metallic. One must note that the Deep Forest and dual-tone shades are exclusively offered on the turbo-petrol variants.
