With this achievement, the new Honda Amaze becomes the company’s fastest selling car in India.

With positive response for the new-generation Honda Amaze, the Japanese carmaker managed sell 19,970 units and registering a growth of 17 per cent in July, 2018. The company sold a record 10,180 units of the new Amaze compact sedan, which is the highest ever monthly sales for a single model in Honda history in India.

Now, the new Honda Amaze 2018 has crossed 30,000 sales mark in just three months of its arrival in the market. With this achievement, it becomes Honda’s fastest selling car in the country. The new version of the sedan has been doing good across Tier I, II and III markets. Interestingly, the diesel CVT variant of the Amaze is high in demand accounting 30 per cent of the total sales.

The new Honda Amaze 2018 is available in four trims – E, S, V and VX – which are further segmented into 12 variants based on the engine an gearbox options. For the first time, Honda introduced a CVT transmission with a diesel powertrain in India. The CVT gearbox is exclusively offered on the mid-level S and V trims of the sedan. Reports in media suggest that HCI will soon introduce the CVT gearbox on the range-topping VX diesel trim of the new Amaze.

Initially, the 2018 Honda Amaze was introduced within the price range of Rs 5.59 lakh (for the entry-level E petrol model) – Rs 8.99 lakh (for the top-spec V CVT diesel variant). Recently, the carmaker increased prices of the compact sedan by up to Rs 21,000 – Rs 31,000. Prices of the new Amaze now start from Rs 5.81 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 9.11 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom India.
