New Generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Is Ready For Launch
The new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will be bigger and sit lower than the existing one.
The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is, undoubtedly, one of the biggest launches of this year. The MPV’s second-generation model, that has already made its debut in Indonesia, will hit Indian roads in November, 2018. Though, the official launch date of the vehicle is yet to be announced by the carmaker.
Design and styling of the new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will be largely similar to the Indonesia-spec model. The MPV will also see a range of new comfort features and equipment. Just like Maruti Suzuki’s new breed cars, the new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will use the HEARTECT platform shedding a significant weight of the vehicle. – Bigger & More Spacious
With respect to proportions, the new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will be bigger and sit lower than the existing one. The MPV’s new model measures 4,395mm in length, 1,735mm in width and 1,690mm in height. – New Design
Comprehensive design changes will also be made to the car. The new Maruti Ertiga 2018 will get a larger chrome grille with chrome detailing, revised front and rear bumpers, new projector headlamps and fog lamps, new electrically operable ORVMs with turn signal indicators, black C-shaped cladding, new alloy wheels, chrome handles, new LED taillamp design and high mounted LED stop lamp. – More Features
The MPV will have dual-tone (Beige and Brown) interior with newly-designed dashboard featuring a touchscreen infotainment system. Features such as automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, reverse camera with rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat mounts might also be on offer. – New Powerful Engine
At engine front, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is likely to get a new 1.5-litre SHVS petrol engine replacing the existing 1.4-litre motor. The diesel model will continue source its power from the 89bhp, 1.3-litre DDIS engine with SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle from Suzuki) mild hybrid technology. The MPV might come with two transmission choices – a 5-speed manual and an optional AMT unit.
