New Generation Honda Jazz to have all new design and diesel engine

After unveiling the all new 2014 Honda City in India, the Japanese auto major is all set to bring in the next generation Honda Jazz at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February.

The year 2014 seems belonging to Honda Cars India, which has plans to launch some really exciting products. The company has already unveiled the new 2014 Honda City in India, which will be launched in January, next products lined-up to be launched are New Generation Honda Jazz and Honda Brio based Mobilio MPV. And what is more exciting is to know that all of these products will have diesel heart this time. While the new City, Jazz and Mobilio will be rolled out within 2014, the company might also bring in the compact SUV Vezel, which made its global debut at the recently held Tokyo Motor Show in Japan.

The product that we are talking about today is the all new Honda Jazz, which too has recently made its debut in Tokyo, and is expected to be showcased at the Indian Auto Expo in February.

The new Jazz and Honda City are based on same crossover platform and company’s patented Exciting H Design concept. With an aim to take its design platform on the global level, Honda introduced this unique design philosophy with all new Honda Jaza aka Fit, which is pursued with the new 2014 Honda City. This new design theory can be translated into three factors – ‘High Tech’ that stands the creative part of design, ‘High Tension’ that stands the beauty of designing pattern and ‘High Touch’ that stands for polished surface and texture.

The new Jazz will be launched in two engine options – 1.2-litre, i-VTEC petrol version and 1.5-litre, i-DTEC diesel version. The extended dimensions and wheelbase will be two distinguish features that will make it look longer and spacious than the phased out Jazz. The next generation Honda Jazz is expected to come at a price tag of Rs.6 lakh.
