We reported earlier that Ford will launch the new generation Endeavour SUV in the Indian car market by 2015-16. The near production model of the SUV was unveiled at the 2014 Bangkok Motor Show, while the production spec model is expected to make its official debut next year. Now, the SUV has been spotted undergoing testing in China.
The spotted vehicle was fully camouflaged and it looks similar to the concept model. If media reports to believe, the new gen Endeavour will share most of its styling cues with the concept; however, the changes will be given to few parts of the model including wheel arches, wheels, door handles and others.
The concept shown features an aggressive trapezoidal grille with chrome embellishments which is complemented by sweptback headlamps. The lower bumper sports a matte silver skid plate which also accommodates fog lamp assembly. The interiors of the SUV are likely to share its components with the F150, Explorer and Flex. The seven-seater SUV will sport a new intelligent one-touch multi-mode all-wheel drivetrain, to conquer different roads.
Mechanically, the new generation Ford Endeavour is expected to remain unchanged. The vehicle is expected to be powered by the same 2.5L and 3.0L diesel engines, although, the company will introduce a new six-speed manual gearbox and a new auto transmission.
