It’s no secret that Yamaha Motor is working on the new-generation R25 motorcycle. While launch of the bike is likely to happen sometime next year, its prototype has been spotted testing in Indonesia. In the Indian market, the new 2019 Yamaha R25 will continue to take on the Honda CBR 250RR and the Kawasaki Ninja 250.

Similar to the new Yamaha R15, the new-gen R25 gets fairing with a faux RAM air-intake separating the inward-tilting twin LED headlamps. The tail section of the bike will also be revised. It also gets new upside-down front forks with a golden finish. The bike might also receive new body graphics along with new colour schemes. For power, the new 2019 Yamaha R25 will make use of a 249 cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, DOHC engine with fuel injection technology. Rumor has it that Yamaha might introduce the VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology and a slipper clutch to the new-generation R25. Transmission on offer will be a 6-speed unit. Underpinning the new diamond-type chassis, the new 2019 Yamaha R25 will get the telescopic front forks and a linkage-type rear mono-shock with preload adjustability for performing suspension duties.
