New Gen Renault Duster Debut Towards The End Of 2023

Dacia, the Renault Group brand, is working on the third generation Duster that has been spotted testing multiple times. The third gen Duster will also go on sale in our market under the Renault nameplate. If media reports are to be believed, the new gen Dacia Duster will make its global debut towards the end of this year. The new gen Renault Duster will be an all-new product based on a new platform, which will also be shared with Nissan in India.

The new gen Renault Duster will share the styling cues from the Bigster concept, which was unveiled in 2021. Renault has also confirmed that the Bigster will also get a production version. Likely to be launched sometime in 2024-25, the production-ready Duster will be positioned above the new Duster as the new C-segment model. It will measure around 4.6 meters in length and will leave enough space for the Duster to grow in size. We expect the new gen Renault Duster to measure around 4.4 meters long.

The bigger dimensions will allow engineers to create more comfortable and practical cabin compared to the second-gen model on sale in select international markets. The new gen Renault Duster will be designed and developed on the Renault-Nissan alliance’s CMF-B modular architecture. Thanks to new architecture, the new Duster SUV will offer better packaging in terms of larger boot and spacious cabin. The new platform will also allow Renault to bring electrified engines under the Duster’s hood.

It is reported that the new Duster could receive 1.3-litre hybrid powertrain. The India-spec model could also receive a new 1.0L turbo petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. The SUV won’t be offered with the 1.5L diesel engine that powers the second-gen Dacia Duster.

Renault is also developing the next-gen Duster SUV for India. The new model will arrive in our market sometime in 2024 or 2025. A 7-seater derivative of the SUV, which is likely to be based on the Bigster, is also expected to be launched in our market in 2025-26. The SUVs will also share the styling cues from the Bigster concept.
