New Ford Ka + (Ford Aspire) Gets 3 Star Rating In Latin NCAP
The sedan receives three stars for adult occupant protection and 4 stars for child occupant protection.
According to the data released by Latin NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme), the new Ford Ka + (Ford Aspire sedan in India) has received 3 star rating in the latest crash test results. The sedan scored 22.83 points out of 34 for adult occupant protection and 35.41 points out of 49 for child occupant protection.
In the frontal and side crash test, the new Ford Ka + (2018 Ford Aspire) scored 11.54 and 10.80 points out of 16 points. While the driver head and chest protection was adequate, the front passenger head, neck and chest protection rated as good. New Ford Ka + (Ford Aspire) Latin NCAP Crash Test
While the bodyshell was stable, the footwell area rated as unstable. The new Ford Ka + (2018 Ford Aspire) provided good protection to head and abdomen, adequate for the pelvis and weak in the chest. The tested Brazil-spec Ford Ka + (2018 Ford Aspire sedan) was equipped with dual front airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners (driver and passenger), seatbelt reminder (for driver only) and ABS (antilock braking system), and ISOFIX anchorages. In India, the American carmaker is all set to introduce the updated version of the Aspire sedan on 4th October, 2018. For the 2018 model year, the vehicle will receive minor design and feature changes along with a new petrol engine. The new Ford Aspire 2018 facelift will share its engine with the Freestyle crossover – i.e. 1.2L, three-cylinder motor. The new gasoline unit delivers power worth 95bhp against 115Nm of torque.
