American automaker Ford will launch the new generation Endeavour SUV in the Indian car market by 2015-16. The company recently unveiled the vehicle at the 2014 Bangkok Motor Show. The all-new Ford Endeavour aka Everest in International markets has been spotted during its test rounds in Australia. For the first time, this model will be sold outside ASEAN markets.
The spotted vehicle was fully camouflaged and it looks quite similar to the concept model unveiled in Bangkok and Australia. The concept model unveiled looks closer to its production form, and we expect that the model will share most of its styling cues with the concept. Rumors suggest that the spotted vehicle features the actual production body.
According to Goauto, the seven-seater SUV will sport a new intelligent one-touch multi-mode all-wheel drivetrain, to conquer different roads. The new generation Endeavour is likely to be powered by the same 2.5-litre and 3.0-litre diesel engines, although, the company will introduce a new six-speed manual gearbox and a new auto transmission.
The new Endeavour aka Everest has an aggressive trapezoidal grille with chrome enhancements and sweptback headlights. The lower end of the bumper features a matte silver skid plate which offers a space to accommodate fog lamp assembly. At the side, there are ORVMs with chrome inserts, aggressive wheel arches, chrome door handles and sewage window line. At the rear, the SUV features wide tail lamps with chrome strip.
