Here’re five important things you need to know about the new Ford Endeavour 2019 facelift.

Ford India will give mid-life update to some of its popular models including the Figo hatchback, Aspire sedan and Endeavour SUV. While the Ford Figo and Aspire facelifts will hit showrooms this year, the updated version of the Endeavour will go on sale early 2019. The new Ford Endeavour 2019, which is recently launched in Thailand, has witnessed subtle styling and feature updates along with a new engine setup. Here’re five important things you need to know about the India-spec Endeavour facelift.

1. Revised Styling

For 2019 model year, the premium SUV will receive a new radiator grille with three single horizontal slats, revised bumper and a frame for the lower air intake at the front end. Save for the new 18-inch, six-double-spoke wheels, the side profile of the updated model will remain unchanged. Round the back, the SUV might get re-designed taillamp enclosures. 2. A Few New Features

While the new Ford Endeavour 2019 facelift will retain most of the interior design and features from the current model, it will receive minor upgrades making it slightly more premium. The American carmaker might offer a new 8.0-inch touchscreen with SYNC3 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other key changes might include new seat upholstery, revised dashboard, etc. While the global-spec version gets autonomous emergency braking system, the India-spec model will devoid of it. 3. BSVI Compliant Engines

Globally, the new Ford Endeavour 2019 is offered with a new 2.0-litre turbocharged and a new 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel powertrains. The former makes 177.5bhp with 420Nm and the latter delivers 210bhp with 500Nm. Instead of a 6-speed automatic transmission, the SUV gets a 10-speed automatic gearbox with an optional 4X4 drivetrain system. Check Out – India’s Most Powerful Ford Mustang

In India, however, the Endeavour will continue to carry the existing engine setup – i.e. 158bhp, 2.2-litre TDCi diesel and a 197bhp, 3.2-litre TDCi diesel. Reports suggest that the carmaker might update both the oil burners to meet the BSVI emission norms. The 2.2L variants of the SUV will continue to come either with a 6-speed automatic with 4X2 or 6-speed manual with 4X2 and 4X4 options. The 3.2L variant will be available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, supported by 4X4 drivetrain system.

4.  Same Mechanism & Dimensions

No changes will be made to the suspension and braking mechanism of the new Ford Endeavour 2019 facelift. The SUV will use the same independent coil spring with anti-roll bar upfront and coil spring, watts linkage type with ant-roll bar rear suspension unit. It will get the four disc brakes with ABS and EBD. In fact, the dimensions will remain unchanged. 5. More Or Less Same Price

Interestingly, the prices of the new Ford Endeavour 2019 facelift will be more or less same as the current model. The pre-facelift version comes in three variants – 2.2L 4X2 AT Trend, 2.2L 4X2 AT Titanium and 3.2L 4X4 AT Titanium – priced at Rs 26.32 lakh, Rs 30.57 lakh and Rs 32.81 lakh respectively.
