New Ford Bronco Sport SUV Global Debut Pushed to June
It was reported that Ford Motor Company will introduce the much-awaited Bronco SUV in March 2020. However, unveil has been delayed due to Coronavirus pandemic. The SUV was planned to be unveiled at the 2020 New York Motor Show; however, the even was postponed to August.
According to the Roadshow website, the new Ford Bronco Sport will now be revealed during Spring. The company has decided to postpone the debut of the new Bronco by two months because of current problems with the coronavirus. Going by the report, it is quite possible that the SUV will be unveiled in June 2020.
Pictures of the Ford Bronco Sport have already been leaked on the Internet. The SUV will challenge the Jeep Compass in the Brazilian markets, while the bigger new Bronco will be positioned against the Jeep Wrangler. The spy images confirm that the new Bronco Sport features the traditional design elements. It features the circular headlamps with horizontal strips of lights cutting into the center, simple bumper with driving lamps in the corner, angular silhouette, front upright and chiseled lines.
The angled C-pillar, sporty looking roof rail, black plastic cladding and squarish profile give it a tough, rugged appearance. At the back, the SUV’s hinges are placed near the roof indicate that the glass can open separately from the rest of the hatch. It will be based on the Ford Escape platform. It is likely to share the engine options with the Escape, which includes 150bhp, 1.5-litre EcoBoost and a 250bhp, 2.5-litre EcoBoost. In India, Ford Motor Company is not likely to launch this SUV anytime sooner. The company is readying an all-new C-segment SUV, which will be co-developed by Ford and Mahindra.
