The 1.5-litre Blue dCi diesel engine is equipped with a selective catalytic reduction system (SCR) that reduces polluting emissions. This feature is available in almost all diesel cars in Europe. Placed in the exhaust line, SCR reduces Nitrogen Oxide emissions from exhaust gases. The SCR system works in conjuction with a urea-based liquid solution called AdBlue. It converts the harmful Nitrogen Oxide into inoffensive nitrogen gas and water vapour. Owner needs to refuel the AdBlue, and a notification for the same will come on the instrument cluster.
