Chevrolet has unveiled the new Sail 3 at the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show in China. The vehicle gets comprehensive makeovers to both exteriors and interiors. The new Sail 3 looks more appealing and more refined than the previous model.
The new Sail 3 has adopted Chevrolet’s new design language. The exteriors of the revised model feature a larger dual-port grille that is complemented by sweptback headlamps. The wheelbase of the car has been increased by 35mm, which makes it longer and wider than the previous model and also contributes to its cabin space. The Sail 3 is 51mm longer and 45mm wider than its predecessor.
According to the company, “car has sculpted seats, a “flowing instrument panel” and “exquisite craftsmanship.” This model offers a large luggage carrying capacity of 366-litres, which is more than sufficient to accommodate 3 suitcases and small bag. It also has an innovative flowing instrument panel that puts controls within easy reach, a dual-mode sunroof and sculpted seats with exquisite craftsmanship.
The vehicle will be available with two engine options. The company hasn’t released the exact specifications but confirmed that the Sail 3 will get 1.3-litre VVT and a 1.5-litre DVVT engines. Engines can be connected to either a manual transmission or a “mechanical automatic” with a start-stop function.
