Kia Sonet

Kia compact SUV concept

Korean automaker, Kia will unveil the much-awaited sub-4 meter SUV – Sonet tomorrow. Based on the Hyundai Venue’s platform, the Sonet will be the brand’s global SUV. Scheduled to be launched in mid-2020, the Kia Sonet will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and the Mahindra XUV300. It will be offered with 3 engine options including the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Both manual and automatic versions will be on offer.

Maruti Futuro-e

Maruti Futuro-e SUV-Coupe Concept

Maruti Suzuki will showcase the new Futuro-e Coupe SUV concept, which will preview the brand’s upcoming mid-sized SUV. The mid-sized SUV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the Nissan Kicks. The production version of the SUV is expected to be launched in 2021, and is likely to receive the BS6 compliant 1.5-litre K15B, 4-cylinder petrol engine.

Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed to showcase 17 cars at the 2020 Auto Expo. The long-awaited Vitara Brezza facelift will arrive in our market tomorrow. It will receive the cosmetic design changes and upgraded cabin along with petrol engine option. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic.

Tata H2X micro SUV

Tata H2X Concept

Homegrown passenger automaker, Tata Motors will introduce the long-awaited H2X concept based micro SUV tomorrow. The new model will be the brand’s second model to be based on the ALFA modular platform, first being the Altroz premium hatchback. Internally codenamed Hornbill, the SUV will rival the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and the Renault Kwid. It will receive the BS6 compliant 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that also powers the Tiago and the Altroz.

New Mahindra XUV500 EV – Funster Concept

Mahindra will showcase 4 new electric cars including the Funster eSUV concept, XUV300 electric, eKUV100 and the Atom quadricycle tomorrow at the Auto Expo 2020. The Funster eSUV will preview the design of the brand’s new XUV500 SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2020.

After making a successful entry with the Hector and the ZS EV, MG Motors is now ready to showcase 14 new cars at the 2020 Auto Expo. The company will unveil an all-new Gloster premium SUV, which is based on the Maxus D90 SUV. It will be offered with 2 engine options – a 218bhp, 2.0L diesel and a 221bhp, 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

Renault HBC compact SUV

Buoyed by positive response for Triber MPV, Renault is now ready to launch an all-new sub-4 meter SUV. Codenamed HBC, the new Renault compact SUV is rumoured to be called the Kiger. To be unveiled at Auto Expo 2020, the new model will go on sale in India in mid-2020. It will rival the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and the Mahindra XUV300.

German automaker, Volkswagen has already unveiled the Taigun SUV at an event in Delhi. At the Auto Expo, the company will also introduce the T-ROC 5-seater premium SUV and the Tiguan AllSpace. The T-ROC SUV will be a premium SUV and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross. It will be launched as a CBU unit and likely to cost around Rs 18 lakh – Rs 20 lakh. The SUV will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 150bhp of power.

Czech automaker, Skoda will showcase a wide range of cars including the Karoq, Vision IN SUV concept, Octavia RS 245, Superb facelift and the Rapid 1.0 TSI Matte Black concept and the Monte Carlo edition at the Auto Expo. The Karoq will be the brand’s new premium SUV to take on the likes of the Hyundai Tucson and the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross.

China’s Great Wall Motors will showcase the Haval SUV range and the Ora electric cars at the 2020 Auto Expo. The company will also unveil the new Haval Concept H, which will preview the brand’s upcoming mid-sized SUV for the Indian as well as global markets.
