BMW India has rolled out the sport variant of the BMW X3 – xDrive30dM Sport – in India at Rs. 59.90 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The new BMW X3 xDrive30dM Sport will be assembled at the company’s Chennai-based plant.
The new BMW X3 xDrive30dM Sport comes with a Sport package that includes the M Aerodynamic package, BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line with high-gloss Black design elements, M light alloy wheels and six individual color options – an exclusive Carbon Black Metallic, Space Grey, Glacier Silver, Melbourne Red, Black Sapphire and Carbon Black. Inside, the car gets M leather steering wheel, sport seats for the front passengers and BMW Individual headliner anthracite. The Fine-wood trim ‘Fineline’ Anthracite with Pearl Chrome highlight trim finishers with Black high-gloss embellishments on instrument panel is also on offer.
Other features on list are body-colored wheel arch trim and door trim, side sills with additional lighting, panorama glass roof, Harman Kardon surround sound system, next-generation BMW iDrive, Park Distance Control (PDC) rear and front along with rear view camera. The new X3 xDrive30dM Sport also gets the BMW Driving Experience Control switch with four driving modes – Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport and Sport+.
Power for the BMW X3 xDrive30dM Sport comes from a 3-litre, six-cylinder, in-line diesel engine that put outs a maximum power of 258bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. This powertrain is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission that helps the car attain 0-100kmph in 5.9 seconds. It has an electronic speed limit of 232kmph. The BMW X3 is now available with two engine options: BMW X3 xDrive 30d and BMW X3 xDrive 20d.
