New BMW M3 sedan and M4 Coupe

BMW, the German luxury carmaker, that launched the new M5, has now introduced the new M3 sedan and M4 Coupe in the Indian car market. Both models comes as a Completely Built-up unit; the M3 and M4 Coupe are priced at Rs. 1.19 crore (ex-showroom India) and Rs. 1.21 crore (ex-showroom), respectively.

Under the hood, the new models are powered by a new 3.0-litre, 6-pot, twin-turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a maximum power output of 431bhp at 5500-7300rpm with a maximum torque of 550Nm between 1850-5500rpm. The vehicles accelerate to 100kmph from zero in just 5 seconds, and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. A six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed automatic gearbox are on offer, driving the power to rear wheels of the cars.

The use of high-tensile materials and carbon-fibre elements make the new M3 Sedan lighter, which contributes to its responsiveness and agility. The company has now tuned both the cars to consume 25 per cent less fuel. Based on the M3 Coupe platform, the new M4 Coupe features a carbon fiber roof and a 60:40 split rear seats. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 18-inches alloy wheels, while the 19-inches alloys come as optional.
