New Bajaj Pulsar 250 Launching Today; New Details Emerge

The all-new Bajaj Pulsar 250 is all set to launch in the country today. The company has released multiple teasers of the new Pulsar 250, which reveals the design details. The new model will have two variants – a semi-faired model with RS or 250F badge and a naked model with NS nameplate.

The new Pulsar 250 will be positioned below the Dominar 250 in the Bajaj line-up. It is estimated to be priced around Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle will rival the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 250 design now looks more aggressive and prominent compared to the current Pulsars. It features a more evolved wolf-eyed design. The motorcycle now has an LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), and new LED turn indicators.

Some of the design elements of the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 includes split seat setup, and muscular fuel tank and upswept exhaust with twin ports. Some of the styling is inspired by the Pulsar RS 200, such as the alloy wheels, crash guard and the exhaust system. It is likely to be equipped with a digital instrument console that should also support Bluetooth connectivity.

The teaser video reveals that the new Bajaj Pulsar has redesigned engine cowl, rear set footpegs and up-right clip-on handlebars. These elements should give it a sporty riding position. Also the up-right clip-on handlebars ensures smooth ride experience in heavy traffic. The vehicle gets raised rear end with a redesigned LED tail-lights, which has twin vertical strips and a tyre hugger.

For braking duties, the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 will come with front disc and rear disc. It will come with dual-channel ABS system as standard. Suspension mechanism comprises of telescopic front forks and a mono-shock unit at the rear. The motorcycle will also receive an all-new 250cc engine, which is most likely to be different from the Dominar 250. It is most likely to be an all-new 250cc single-cylinder air/oil cooled engine.

The all-new 250cc engine would come with VVA or Variable Valve Actuation, which should improve the overall power delivery. This engine is likely to offer a power output close to 25bhp. It is expected to be paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
