December 9, 2016 – Bajaj, the homegrown automaker is planning to launch a range of new and facelifts of existing motorcycles in the country in the next 6 months. The company will update the existing Pulsar range and is all set to launch the powerful Bajaj Dominar 400 on December 15, 2016. Interestingly, Bajaj has released a new promotional video for the long awaited Bajaj Pulsar 150NS. This video shows the agility of the bike by comparing it with a gymnast.
The naked streetfighter shares its design cues from the Pulsar NS200, which is currently not on sale. However, Bajaj will introduce the 2017 Pulsar NS200 in early January 2017. Talking about NS150, the bike gets LED taillamp, backlit switchgear, underbelly exhaust, split seats, nitrox based monoshock rear suspensions and a projector headlamps. Instead of discs, the naked motorcycle gets drum brakes at the rear.
The vehicle’s complete specifications and new images have already been emerged on the web. The company has already started exporting the bike to select international markets including Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Finland, Turkey and Thailand. In the last 18 months or so, Bajaj Auto has launched six all new products with the most recent one being the Bajaj V15. Before that we saw three new Avenger models – Street 150, Street 220 & Cruise 220 and three Pulsar models – RS200, AS200 & AS150. The next two Bajaj products to be rolled out are Dominar 400 and the Bajaj V12. While the Dominar 400 will be Bajaj’s new flagship model and will appeal buyers looking for sports bikes at affordable price, the Pulsar 150NS will attract buyers looking for premium 150cc bike.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS will look quite identical to the 200NS with features similar fuel tank design, split-seat unit, instrument cluster and under-body exhaust. The upcoming 150cc motorcycle also gets large fuel tank cowls, clip-on-style handle bar, sharply-designed front & rear indicators, black alloy wheels, split tail-lamps, rear mud-guard extends, etc. The Bajaj Pulsar 150NS will be based on a lightweight perimeter frame that also underpins the 200NS and the AS150. This will help provide optimum fuel efficiency and performance.
The bike’s instrument cluster has a digital speedometer with temperature and fuel gauge, trip meters, a large analogue tachometer, odometers and some warning lamps. The aluminium-fished foot-pegs and levers add more to its sporty appeal. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS comes with a pair of 17-inch 80/100-17 front and 100/90-17 rear tubeless tyres. It will also sport a single elongated seat and kick start system (besides self-start). Though, the most noticeable bit comes in the form of new mono-Nitrox suspension at the rear axle.
Coming to dimensions, the new 150cc Bajaj Pulsar is 2,105mm long, 800mm wide and 1,220mm tall. It has a dry weight of 144kgs, and comes with 1,363mm wheelbase. For a 150cc segment bike, the Pulsar 150NS is surely a looker, and we believe it will attract masses.

Likely to be the most advanced bike in its segment, the Bajaj Pulsar 150NS will be powered by a 149.5cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air cooled engine that is benefited with Bajaj’s DTSi (digital twin spark ignition) technology. The power and torque figures of this power mill stand at 17bhp and 13Nm respectively. Transmitting power to wheels will be a 5-speed manual gearbox. With a capability to deliver a top speed of 120kmph, the Pulsar 150NS will become one of the fastest motorcycles in its category.
