Audi India, today, rolled out the new 2015 Audi TT Coupe in the country at Rs. 60.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi and Mumbai). The new TT Coupe is based on the Volkswagen’s MQB platform. It will rival against the likes of BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz SLK.
The 2015 TT is inspired from the Audi R8 and shares styling cues with the Audi Prologue concept. It is much sleeker and aggressive than the previous model. The company has raised the wheelbase and length of the car to improve cabin space, but the width of the car has been reduced.
It is powered by a 2.0L TFSI petrol engine that churns out 230PS of maximum power and 350Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a six-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox which sends the power to all-wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 5.3 seconds. The Coupe returns a combined fuel economy of 14.3kmpl.
With the use of aluminum, the TT Coupe is lighter than the previous model. The overall profile and appeal of the car remains unchanged. It comes equipped with new chromed trapezoidal grille, Matrix beam LED headlamps, large air ducts, LED tail lamps, sporty side skirts, modified rear bumper and deployable rear spoiler.
The cabin of the new Audi TT Coupe is blessed with a new 12.3-inches digital instrumentation cluster, multifunctional steering wheel, sporty leather trimmed seats, electrically adjustable front seats, Bang & Olufsen music system with 12 speakers, 14 channel amplifier and 2 woofers.
