TVS Motor Company today rolled out the updated Apache 160 and Apache 180 in India. Both bikes have been offered in five colour options – Pearl White (*new), T Grey, Gloss Black (*new), Racing Red and Matte Blue. The new 2022 TVS Apache 160 comes in three variants – Disc with SmartXonnect, Disc with Ride Modes and Drum with Ride Modes – priced at Rs 1,24,590, Rs 1,21,290 and Rs 1,17,790 respectively.

The new 2022 TVS Apache 180 is available in a single Disc variant with Ride Modes and SmartXonnect that costs Rs 1,30,590. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom. Both motorcycles have higher power to weight ratio than before. While the new Apache RTR 160 gets lighter by 2kg, the updated Apache RTR 180’s weight is reduced by 1 kg.
The company says that the new 2022 TVS Apache 160 and Apache 180 offer several new features including TVS’s SmartXonnect system with Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation. The bikes come with three riding modes, namely – Rain, Urban and Sport. The Rain mode is said to provide linear acceleration and tuned braking for wet conditions along with the comfortable riding experience. While the Urban mode offers linear acceleration, good braking and comfortable ride, the Sport mode ensures sharper acceleration, better braking and higher top speeds.
Talking about design changes, the new TVS Apache 160 and Apache 180 feature new LED headlamp and taillamp with new signature 3D element. Both models have been equipped with the segment-first voice assistance system. There is an all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and SmartXonnect technoology. It displays turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator, gear shift assist, race telemetry, lap timer mode, cluster intensity control and crash alert system.
For power, the new Apache 160 2V uses the 160cc, single-cylinder engine making power worth 16.04PS at 8,750rpm and 13.85Nm at 7,000rpm.
