New 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Launch On 23rd February

The new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will hit showrooms on coming 23rd February. Official launch date, however, is yet to be confirmed by the automaker. Buyers can pre-book the new model by paying an initial sum of Rs 11,000. This time around, the hatchback will witness comprehensive changes inside and out. No changes will be made under the hood.

The new Baleno will continue to derive power from the 1.2L VVT and 1.2L Dualjet, Dual VVT engines delivering power worth 82bhp with 113Nm and 89bhp with 113Nm respectively. Both motors can be had with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The updated model lineup will receive a new AMT gearbox instead of the CVT unit.

Interior will be significantly updated. The hatchback will come with a new interior theme with a newly-designed dashboard. The new 2022 Maruti Baleno will be the first vehicle in its segment to offer Heads-Up Display (HUD) displaying gauge information and navigation. There will be larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The hatch will also get a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel and a new instrument console. In order to improve its safety quotient, the automaker might offer the new Baleno with 6 airbags. Design and styling of the new 2022 Maruti Baleno will be sharper than before. The hatch will feature a newly-designed grille, a revised bumper and new L-shaped wraparound projector headlamps with LED DRLs at the front end. The spy images reveal that the existing alloy wheels will be replaced with the newly-designed 15-inch units. The rear section will be updated with new taillamps, a revised bumper and a new tailgate design.

Similar to the existing model lineup, the new one will be available in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Though, it will be slightly more expensive than the current version that costs between Rs 6.13 lakh – Rs 9.65 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
