The new-generation Maruti Vitara Brezza is ready to launch in India on coming 30th June. The SUV’s new model will come with significantly improved design and interior along with a more fuel-efficient engine. Interestingly, the next-generation model lineup will drop the prefix ‘Vitara’ and it will be named Maruti Brezza. The aging 4-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox will be replaced with a new 6-speed automatic unit as we have seen in the updated Ertiga. A 5-speed manual gearbox will continue to come as standard. With the generation change, the Brezza will receive new exterior colour schemes including a Green shade.
The bodyshell of the new 2022 Maruti Brezza will witness a few changes. In order to improve its safety quotient, the carmaker might offer electronic stability control, hill hold assist, trye pressure monitoring system and 6 airbags. Though, these features could be reserved for the higher trims. Besides new safety fitments, the Brezza will get a twin-dial instrument cluster, Head-Up Display (HUD), new-gen telematics, rear AC vents, a sunroof, a flat bottom steering wheel and a 360 degree camera. Its floating touchscreen infotainment system might come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
On the exterior, the 2022 Brezza will feature a completely new grille, revised front and rear bumpers, updated headlamp clusters, newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels in dual-tone shades and redesigned taillamps.
2022 Maruti Brezza Prices (Expected)
With comprehensive exterior and interior upgrades and new engine, the Maruti Brezza 2022 model year will witness a decent price hike. At present, its base variant is available at 7.84 lakh and the range-topping model costs Rs 11.49 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi). The new-generation version is expected to come within the price range of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 12 lakh.
