The new 2022 KTM RC 390 was recently launched in the country. The supersport bike is now available at Rs 3,13,922 (ex-showroom, Delhi), thus making it around Rs 36,287 more expensive than the previous model. At price point, the RC 390 will compete against the cars like TVS Apache RR310 and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
– For power, the new KTM RC 390 uses a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine featuring a 40% bigger airbox that enhance its torque delivery. The motor pushes out a peak power of 43.5PS and 37Nm of torque, which are similar to the old model.
– It has a 6-speed gearbox with a power-assisted anti-hopping sliver clutch.
– In order to improve its rideability, the two-wheeler maker has tuned its ECU (engine control unit).
– The new 2022 KTM RC 390 design seems to be inspired by the grand-prix siblings.
– Painted in KTM Factory Racing Blue and KTM Orange shades, the bike carries more aerodynamic design elements along with the all LED headlamp, taillamp and indicators, newly-designed alloy wheels and hollow front axle. It has two-step adjustable clip-on bar.
– The bike’s fuel tank capacity has been increased to 13.7-litres.
– Based on the new split trellis frame, the new 2022 KTM RC390 offers a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes with lean-angle sensitive cornering ABS, dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode, Quickshifter and Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC)
– For performing suspension duties, the bike has an open cartridge WP APEX upside-down front forks and a WP APEX rear shock absorber. One must note that the India-spec RC 390 misses out on the adjustable suspension unit.
– Braking power form the new KTM RC 390 comes from the new ByBre braking system that makes it lighter than the exiting model. It gets 320mm front and 280mm rear disc brakes.
