Hyundai India is gearing up to launch the updated Venue in coming weeks. Ahead of its official arrival, select Hyundai dealers have begun taking pre-bookings for the new model. According to a fresh media report, the online bookings of the SUV’s existing model have been stopped. In order to clear stock of the pre-facelift version, the company is retailing only select variants and its iMT and DCT variants are on hold. Talking about the new 2022 Hyundai Venue, the updated model will witness a few noticeable changes inside and out. Engine setup, however, will retain intact. Interior details of the new Hyundai Venue 2022 are scanty. Though, the subcompact SUV is likely to come with a new interior theme and seat upholstery. It might get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity along with a 360 degree camera, ventilated front seats, front parking sensors and Bose audio system. Rest of the features will be carried forward from the current model including connected car technology, automatic AC, air purifier, an electric sunroof, a rear parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and 6 airbags.
Minimal cosmetic changes will be made to the new 2022 Hyundai Venue. The facelifted version will feature a new parametric grille similar to the new-generation Tucson and Creta facelift. The subcompact SUV might retain the split headlamp setup, while its front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels and taillamps will be revised.
As mentioned above, the new Hyundai Venue 2022 will continue to come with the existing engine-gearbox options. That means, there will be a 83PS, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, a 120PS, 1.0L turbo petrol and 100PS, 1.5L diesel motor. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be available on the naturally-aspirated petrol unit. While the 1.0L turbo gasoline engine will be available with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, the diesel motor will come with a 6-speed manual transmission.
