Here are top five features that will debut with the new 2018 Honda CR-V premium SUV

The 2018 Honda CR-V was first showcased to public at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The SUV will officially go on sale in India on October 9, 2018. The fifth-generation CR-V comes equipped with better equipped cabin, more frugal engines & premium looks. Here are top five features that will debut with this premium SUV –

New Petrol & Diesel Engines

The new Honda CR-V will be offered with 2 new engines – 1.6-litre i-DTEC turbo-diesel & a 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol. The diesel engine is capable of producing 118.3bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. On the flip side, the petrol version produces 151.8bhp of power and 189Nm of torque. A 2WD layout will come as standard, while the diesel model will also get 4WD system.

Hands-free tail-gate

For the first time, Honda CR-V in India comes with a hands-free electrically powered tailgate. Adding to it, the CR-V is also the brand’s first ever model to get this high-end feature. Interior Layout & 7 Seat Option

This is the major departure from the previous model. The new model comes with premium features and several high-end features. It also gets the 7-seat layout, which is the biggest addition in the cabin. The CR-V SUV will come in two seating layout – 5 and 7. This is for the first time, the CR-V offers a 7-seat option to Indian buyers. The SUV also offers several spaces to keep your belongings. The 7-seater model offers a boot space of 150-litres, which can be expanded to 472-litres and 936-litres by folding the 3rd and 2nd rows respectively. Best-in-segment fuel efficiency

This is the most fuel efficient car in its category. The new CR-V is claimed to return 14.4kmpl of mileage in petrol and 19.5kmpl in diesel. In fact, the diesel 4×4 model is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 18.3kmpl.

High-on-safety

The new Honda CR-V comes equipped with several high-end safety and security features including six airbags, Hill start assist, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), etc. Besides this, the new CR-V gets features like lane watch (Blind Spot Detection), driver attention monitor and agile handle assist.
